Recovering wolf populations have an incredible impact on the environment. They cause elk herds to move more frequently, so Aspen, Cottonwood, and Willow have recovered. The extra tree cover (specifically Willow) has helped songbirds like the common yellowthroat, warbler vireo, and song sparrow. Beaver populations have also increased exponentially, which has resulted in more abundance of fish. Wolves also help to control coyote populations, leaving more small prey for foxes, bald eagles, and ravens. Healthy wolf populations, everybody wins.
